World Language Encore

6th-grade students at WIS have the opportunity to learn a little Spanish and French as part of their encore rotation.  These exploratory classes are intended to provide students with exposure to Hispanic and French cultures as well as basic language skills.  These encore classes are a fun and enjoyable way to learn a little about how language learning can be exciting as well as beneficial.  Students will have one semester of each language, allowing them to be able to experience both languages.
Studies show that learning a non-native language helps improve students' understanding of English grammar, increases English vocabulary, develops stronger memory skills, improves self-esteem, learn self-discipline, and much more!
